LITTLE PINK FAIRY
"Little Pink Fairy" is about a tiny idol that is being suffocated by its possessor in her attempt to take care of it. The storyline is most influenced by my own rituals in quarantine and the process of surrender in self care. By working with Christoph and Loukia, I was inspired to work with a totem from my own childhood, a little pink fairy, that I found on the sidewalk during a rainy afternoon. Additional artists that I looked to in developing the characters and editing process include Cindy Sherman and Charlie Chaplin.
With "Little Pink Fairy", I want to leave the viewer feeling more gentle towards the curiously overwhelming nature of "rest" and hopefully, inspire more conversations on what it means to have compassion for oneself.
